Bible Passage:
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

Truth to Remember:
God is near and responsive to those who seek Him wholeheartedly.
Devotional Reflection
There was a time when I longed to experience God more deeply, but I felt far from Him and aware that I was not in His will. I was holding onto unforgiveness while still wanting His peace. I was nervous and unsure, not secure in Him, and I wanted closeness—but I wasn’t ready to let go of what I was gripping so tightly. I kept going, not realizing how much this struggle was affecting my relationship with Him. Even then, God was quietly at work in my heart, guiding me before I reflected on this scripture.
As I reflected on Jeremiah 29:13, that experience returned to my thoughts. I began to see what it really meant to seek Him—with all of me, not just part of me. I had been holding onto something that kept me from turning to Him completely, but God showed me that letting Him in even to the parts I resisted was part of truly seeking Him. When I released the unforgiveness I had been carrying, I began to feel His peace in a real and deep way, and I realized that knowing Him is worth more than anything I hold onto.
Application: Walking in Sincerity of Heart
If you are struggling to experience God’s peace or guidance, come before Him honestly. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal anything—like unforgiveness, fear, or worry—that may be keeping you from turning fully to Him. Trust that He is faithful, even in seasons of waiting or uncertainty. Seeking God is not about striving harder. It is about drawing near with sincerity and openness, letting Him into every part of your life. When you seek Him with your whole heart, as Jeremiah 29:13 promises, you will find His presence, His peace, and His guidance.
Reflection Questions:
Is there anything in your life that may be keeping you from fully seeking God?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your Word, and reminding us that when we seek You with all our hearts, we will find You. Search our hearts and show us anything we are holding onto that keeps us from drawing near to You. Give us the willingness to surrender and the humility to trust Your ways above our own. Help us to desire You above everything and to seek You with honesty and openness. Thank You for being near and ready to meet us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
